The Consortium for the protection of Tuscan extra virgin olive oil was established in 1997 with the initiative of some Tuscan olive growers.
In more than 15 years of activity , the Consortium has grown to exceed more than 11.000 associates, a milestone worthy for the quality of work carried out , capable of protecting and promoting Tuscan extra virgin olive oil in Italy and abroad.
Tuscan extra virgin olive oil - A unique territorial and cultural heritage of this region – safeguarded by the Mark of Geographical Protection ( IGP Indicazione Geografica Protetta).
All the different stages of production of Tuscan extra virgin olive oil IGP, from harvesting and milling to the manufacturer’s packaging , are mandatory to take place within Tuscany as established by the Disciplinary measures of Production, a set of rules laid down by the associates in order to protect the quality and the traceability of the product.
This is how authentic IGP Tuscan extra virgin is born.
